Coll del Ravell
About This Spot
Perched gently along the road from Arbúcies to Viladrau, Coll del Ravell offers a quietly welcoming pause amid the rolling Catalonian landscape. The air here carries a subtle stillness, inviting travelers and locals alike to slow down and take in the simple pleasure of good company and honest food. This isn’t a place chasing trends or rushing guests along; it feels rooted in the rhythm of the surrounding hills and the steady hum of those passing through.
As you settle in, there’s a comforting sense of familiarity—like stepping into a family kitchen where each course is a small story of the region. The kitchen offers more than just a meal; it presents moments shaped by local traditions and seasonal ingredients. Dishes arrive with the kind of heartiness that speaks to the land and to Catalonian culinary heritage, whether it’s a warming stew midweek or the grilled flavors that linger on the palate as you watch the sunset dip behind the mountains.
The atmosphere is unfussy and sincere, where the hum of conversations blends with the clink of glasses and the occasional burst of laughter. Service carries a warm, if sometimes unhurried, attention that reflects the steady flow of visitors—from families on leisurely drives to truckers finding a clean, friendly stop. The hands that prepare and serve these meals clearly know that this is more than just food; it’s a reason to pause and share a quiet, grounded moment before continuing onward.
Coll del Ravell embraces its role as a rest stop without losing the soul of a family restaurant, and that balance is its quietly compelling secret. It invites you not just to eat, but to inhabit a small corner of the Catalan countryside, savoring both the landscape and the flavors born from it. Whether your visit is brief or lingers over a full menu, the experience feels like an honest breath of local life.

I didn’t have enough to eat to make a judgment but the coffee and pastry was good. Service friendly and good parking also for trucks. The fuel service was good and clean.

Best truck stop cafe. Great food. Great value. Slow service because they were busy. Needs Tesla Destination charger!

Beautifully situated on top of that mountain. Many people know their food is good and so we waited 20 minutes to be seated but it was worth it. They do not speak English but the food/ menu disks dit itself. €15,00 including water, bottle of wine, 3 courses and cafe.
